Add a new M3U link and disable the old broken one — two paths depending on where you're starting from
The Fire Stick remote is the small one with a circle ring and a microphone button at the top. If the TV is showing an ONN home screen with tiles — press Input / Source on the TV remote, choose "FireTV" (which is the Fire TV Stick plugged into the HDMI 1 input), then put the TV remote down and use only the Fire Stick remote.
If a channel is trying to load (spinning circle or black screen), press the Back button ← on the Fire Stick remote once to stop it.
If pressing Back does nothing after 5 seconds, hold the Home button 🏠 for 3 seconds. A menu will appear — choose "Go to Home." Then skip down to Step A4 below.
Now that you're back at the channel list, press the Menu button ☰ (three lines, to the left of the Home button). A menu slides out from the left side of the screen.
Press the Back ← button once more, then try Menu ☰ again. If TiviMate is completely frozen, hold 🏠 Home for 3 seconds → "Go to Home" → then reopen TiviMate (Step A4).
Use the navigation ring (the big circle) to move down until Settings is highlighted (it has a ⚙️ gear icon). Press the center button to open it.
→ Now skip ahead to the shared steps — Section "Both Paths Join Here."
This step is only if you had to use the Home button to escape a frozen screen. Navigate the Fire Stick home screen to find the TiviMate app (blue TV icon), highlight it, and press the center button to open it.
Once TiviMate opens and shows the channel list, press ☰ Menu, go to Settings, and continue below.
Pick up the TV remote. Press Input or Source and choose "FireTV" — that's the Fire TV Stick plugged into the HDMI 1 input. You should see a dark Fire TV home screen with app rows and a search bar.
Then set the TV remote down. Use only the Fire Stick remote from this point on.
Press the 🏠 Home button on the Fire Stick remote once. This ensures you're at the Fire Stick home screen and not inside any app.
Use the navigation ring to scroll through app rows until you find TiviMate (blue TV icon). Press the center button to open it.
Once TiviMate is open and showing the channel list, press the ☰ Menu button (three lines). The side menu slides out from the left.
Scroll down in the side menu to ⚙️ Settings and press the center button.
Inside Settings, navigate to Playlists & EPG (may also just say Playlists) and press the center button.
You'll see a list of existing playlists. Navigate to + Add playlist and press the center button.
A small popup appears asking how to add the playlist. Select Add M3U URL.
An on-screen keyboard will appear. Type the full link that was given to you — navigate each character with the ring and press center to type it.
After typing the full link, navigate to the Done or OK button on the on-screen keyboard and press center.
TiviMate will contact the server and download the channel list. This takes 15–60 seconds. Wait for it — don't press anything.
You should still be on the Playlists screen. Use the navigation ring to move up and highlight the old playlist (the one that wasn't working). Do not press center yet — just highlight it.
With the old playlist highlighted, press the ☰ Menu button. This opens a list of actions for that specific playlist.
Navigate to Disable and press the center button. The old playlist is now turned off — it won't try to load, won't cause errors, and won't slow anything down.
Press the ← Back button two or three times until you're back at the TiviMate channel list. Or press 🏠 Home and reopen TiviMate — either works.
Use the navigation ring to highlight any channel and press the center button to start watching. Channels should load quickly now.
New playlist is active · Old playlist is safely disabled · Time to watch!
Returns to Fire Stick home. Hold 3 sec to escape a frozen screen.
Confirms a choice or opens a highlighted item — like clicking.
Goes back one screen. Press several times if lost in a menu.
Opens TiviMate's side menu, or extra options for a highlighted item.
The big circle — push up/down/left/right to move around the screen.
Not used in this guide — but it's the button below the ring if you press it by accident.
