Mark your favorites, build Jim's and Derrinda's personal channel lists, and flip between them in seconds
Open TiviMate as normal. You should see the channel list — a list of channel names. Use the navigation ring to scroll through channels.
Use the navigation ring to move up or down until the channel you want is highlighted. Do not press the center button — that would open the channel and start playing it.
With the channel highlighted, press the ☰ Menu button (three lines, to the left of the Home button). A list of options for that channel appears.
Navigate to Add to Favorites and press the center button. The channel is now saved to your Favorites list.
Press ☰ Menu from anywhere in TiviMate. In the side menu, navigate to ⭐ Favorites and press center.
Highlight any channel in your Favorites list, press ☰ Menu, and choose Remove from Favorites. It goes back to the regular channel list — nothing is deleted.
TiviMate lets you create Groups — custom channel lists with any name you choose. We'll create one called "Jim" and one called "Derrinda". Each group holds only the channels that person wants.
Switching between them takes about 5 seconds — press Menu, go to the group, done.
Press ☰ Menu, select ⚙️ Settings, then select Playlists & EPG.
Highlight your current working playlist (the one with all the channels) and press the center button to open it.
Inside the playlist settings, navigate to Groups and press center. This shows all the channel categories currently in the playlist.
On the Groups screen, press the ☰ Menu button. Select Add group from the options that appear.
An on-screen keyboard appears. Type Jim and press Done / OK.
You're now inside Jim's empty group. Press ☰ Menu and choose Add channels. A list of all available channels appears.
Scroll through and highlight each channel Jim wants. Press the center button to add it. Repeat for every channel.
When finished adding channels, press ← Back to confirm and exit.
Still on the Groups screen, press ☰ Menu → Add group again. This time type Derrinda, press Done, then add her channels the same way.
Press ← Back several times to exit back out to the main TiviMate channel list. Both personal groups are now saved.
From any screen in TiviMate — watching a channel, browsing the guide, anywhere — press ☰ Menu. The side menu slides out.
In the side menu, look for Groups or navigate to TV Guide and then filter by group. Select it and press center.
You'll see a list including Jim, Derrinda, and any other groups. Highlight the person who's watching and press the center button.
Every time you hand off the remote, it's the same 3 presses:
Favorites marked · Jim's list ready · Derrinda's list ready · Switch in 3 button presses anytime
Opens TiviMate's side menu, or shows options for a highlighted channel.
Confirms a choice, opens a channel, or adds a channel to a group.
Goes back one screen. Press several times to exit menus.
Push up/down/left/right to move around any list or menu.
Returns to Fire Stick home. Hold 3 sec to escape a frozen screen.
Highlight channel → ☰ Menu → Add to Favorites. Star appears next to channel.
